Fibre Arts

Spun, woven,
and felt by hand

Everything starts with fibre. Liz spins her own yarn, weaves on a loom that's been part of the house for years, and felts — both flat and three-dimensional — each piece shaped slowly into something that lasts.

The work is tactile and unhurried. No two pieces are identical.

Leatherwork

Grounded in a
different material

Gerald came to leatherwork more recently, but with the same care. Belts, bags, and small goods — made to be used and to age well. At every market, the fibre and the leather sit together at the same table, and that feels right.

Workshops

Learning to
weave together

Liz and Gerald host weaving workshops — hands-on, unhurried, and good for people who've never touched a loom. You leave with something you made yourself.

Workshop dates are shared at markets and here when they're scheduled.

Her Story

"I've been making things
my whole life."

Liz Nell has been crafting in rural Nova Scotia for as long as she can remember. The fibre arts came first — spinning, then weaving, then felting — each one learned slowly and made her own.

This is her story, in her words. The materials, the process, the reason she keeps making things even when the world keeps trying to copy them.
